Torquay is a ten-minute bus journey away, close enough to take advantage of its excellent shops, theatre and nightlife but far enough away to leave the hustle and bustle behind at the end of the day.
Other places of interest you might like to visit include the historic cities of Exeter and Plymouth.
The picturesque villages and towns of Dartmoor and the South Devon coast including Teignmouth, Dawlish and the ancient stannary town of Ashburton are all within easy reach.
