INTRODUCTION
Our home is
situated right on Paignton
sea front. We aim to cater for all our guests’ needs. Access
could be difficult
for people with limited mobility. If you have any specific questions,
please feel
free to ask. The following statement is a summary of our provisions.
PRE-ARRIVAL
1.
We are situated at the harbour end of Paignton
sea front within walking distance of the main
Railway Station and Bus Station.
2. The main
shopping is within level walking
distance.
3. We offer a pick
up service from the
Train and Bus station on arrival to Paignton. Just ring; it only takes
us a few
minuets to get there.
4. Local taxis
available from outside
the station.
5. We do accommodate
dogs for a small fee if well behaved.
6. Menus can be
provided in large print
if required. We regret we do not have documents in Braille.

ARRIVAL AND CAR
PARKING
I. You can drive
right into the front
car park where there are parking spaces for four cars. Alternately
drive to our
back entrance where there is parking for another six cars and no steps
into the
Hotel.
2. We offer
assistance with luggage when possible.
3. To ensure your
accommodation is
ready we ask that guests arrive after 2.00pm. Earlier arrival may
however be
possible by arrangement.
4. There are five
steps to the main door
with a handrail. Please ring the bell on arrival, as the front door is
kept
locked.
S. On entry into
our home we use the
small bar as our reception where you can book in.
SMOKING
1. All rooms are no
smoking.
2. We do have a
sheltered comfortable area out at the back for
smoking with seating.
3.There
are tables and chairs at
the front of the house with lots of pot plants to make a more pleasant
place to
sit in the summer.
GARDEN
1. We have a small area out at the back
with access to and from the car park with pot plants and a small step
over the
back door.
GUEST
ACCOMMODATION-PUBLIC AREAS
1. The hallway has seating provided with
a public phone, toilet and a selection of local information leaflets
for
guests.
2. The bar, dining
room and lounge are
off the hallway and there is a 82cm corridor leading to our ground
floor
bedrooms - one twin and one single.
3. There are two
flights of stairs with
a landing leading to the first floor - seventeen steps in all with
handrail. On
this floor, there are six bedrooms – one twin, four doubles
and one single -
and the twin and one double have sea views.
4. There are a
further two flights of
stairs with a landing leading to the top floor, where there are three
more
double rooms, two with sea views.
5. We have central
heating throughout
and temperatures can be adjusted in each room.
RESTAURANT/DINING ROOM, LOUNGE & BAR
1. Guests are welcome
to use the lounge at any time.
2. The
lounge has a corner sofa with
recliner seats at each end and a 52" flat screen TV with Virgin cable.
Films and DVDs are available on request - price to be discussed.
3. Breakfast, snacks
and evening meals are served in the dining room.
4. We are licensed
for the sale of alcohol.
5. Evening
meals are available to
all guests. Please order at breakfast. Daily menus are on display in
the dining
room.
6. We do play
background music and
guests can play CDs of their own choice on request.
BEDROOMS
1. We have 11 rooms in total. Seven
double rooms (of which three have sea views) with 4ft 6" double beds.
Two twin rooms with 2ft 6" twin beds - one on the ground floor and one on
the first floor with a sea view. Two further single rooms with 2ft
6” single beds. All bedrooms are carpeted throughout and most give access to both sides
of the beds. Please enquire as to which ones.
2. There are en-suite facilities in all
rooms consisting of a shower, washbasin and WC, except for one single
room that
has a washbasin in the room and its own private shower and toilet just
down the
hall.
3. All rooms have colour TV, Tea and
Coffee facilities.
4.
We also provide a hair dryer,
iron & board, torch, sewing materials and a basic first aid kit
on request.
5. Our beds are normally made with
sheets and blankets with a bedspread, but duvets are available on
request. Bed
linen and pillows are made of both man made and natural fibre.
6. Three of our double bedrooms are big
enough to sleep one child and one portable cot.
7. There is a folder in each room, which
contains further information, which might be useful to our guests.
8. Furniture is
moveable on request.
9. Room 11 has a
four-poster bed for those special occasions.
ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION
1. There are fire
extinguishers on all floors as fire regulations
stipulate.
2.
In the event of a fire the alarm
will go off. Please advise us if you have a hearing impairment.
3. The building can be evacuated via the
nearest fire exit on each floor. Please gather in the car park at the
rear of
the building.
4. We are happy to cater for special
diets or any particular likes or dislikes. Please advise us on arrival.
5. We are happy to refrigerate any
medication. We can also keep any perishables in our fridge for a
limited
period. (Not available 24 hours)
6. Mobile phone
reception is generally good.
7. We are happy to
take delivery of
hired
equipment. (Please let us know)

FUTURE PLANS FOR
SEAWAYS
1. We hope to improve the front steps
and have a decking area with patio doors coming from the bar and dining
room.
2. We will up grade
the decor in two of our rooms and the en-suites.
3. Hope to paint the
front of house.
